Papua New Guinea is home of different species of birds of paradise & Bowerbirds.
The National bird is Raggiana Bop which is red in color and can found in lower lands of the Highlands and PNG.
Day 1
Arrive Mt. Hagen ex your domestic flight from Port Moresby. Meet/Greet and assist to your hotel.
Overnight: Ostrich Lodge
Day 2
Early morning 4:15 breakfast and transfer to the Rondon Ridge birding area, approximately 45 minutes drive. Meet guides/ porters and walk the trail until you reached the birding site. You will see Black & Brown sicklebill, Princes Stephanie Astrapia Bops, King of Saxony Bop and Suberp. Other bird spices can be also seen here, and the most common ones are; Honey eater, Blue capped itritta, parrots, Lori keets, berry packers, many more act…
Note:
- Spend full time at Rondon ridge. Return in the evening.
- The Bop you have missed, revisit again.
Day 3
“Blue & Raggiana Bop”
Early morning 4:30am breakfast and transfer to Wurup Kaip for and Raggiana Bop. Approximately 30 minutes drive. Meet local guides and porters will assist you and further 30 minutes walk to the birding site. Wait patiently until it comes to display. Take photos for it’s beauty and return for your lunch and afternoon continue to Kaip village for Raggiana Bop. The birding site is about 15 minutes walk from the drop off point. Other bird spices can be seen at Wurup/Kaip are Helment friar, Yellow breast Bower bird, Rainbow lorikeet, hooked pitohui, doubled eyed pygmy and more. Spend some time here and return to hotel evening.

Day 4
Early morning 4:30am breakfast transfer to Wurup Kaip area. Approximately 30 :00 minutes drive.Full day tour for Lawes Parotia Bop, Magnificent Bop bowerbird and more other different species. Evening back to hotel.

Day 5
Early morning 4:30am breakfast transfer Baiyer River, approximately 1 hour & 40 minutes drive. Lesser Bop as well as other bird spices can be viewed here. Baiyer River birds anctnary was once renowned for the collection of birds and animals. The nature surrounding the lodge is xotic featuring plants, trees and orchids which can also can be explored. Photographing can be exciting.
Overnight: Bayer bird Anctnary Lodge.
Day 6
Early morning 4:30 breakfast and transfer to Ukni village, approximately 30 minutes drive and further 45 minutes walk to birding site. Waiting patiently until the birds come in to display and even feed from the tree. Enjoy photographing and observe its display until you are satisfied and return to the lodge. Other bird spices can seen at Lodge site are; Crested Cockatoo, Hornbill more speices act…

Day 7
Early morning 4:30 breakfast transfer Kumul Lodge to see bird feeding. Here expect to see brown sicklebill, Ribbon tail Astrapia, Stephanie Astrapia, and further more for Lesser & blue Bop.
Overnight: Kumul Lodge
Day 8
Breakfast birding around the lodge, explore exotic plants & orchids in their settings, do bit of nature walk as and return to Lodge for lunch. Afternoon day open for visit to any interested sites or Bop which may not have been fully captured.

Day 9
Morning breakfast and Farewell the local team and transfer to Airport for flight to Port Moresby. Meet/ Greet on arrival and transfer to Holiday hotel and check in followed with lunch. Transfer to Nature Park after lunch. Here expect to see Raggiana Bop,. Lesser Bop and other bird speices including cassowaries, snakes, lizards and beautiful orchid gardens and exotic plants. Continue to visit Port Moresby city, National Parliament, National museum and return to hotel and overnight.
Day 10
Early morning breakfast transfer to Warirata National Park located 50Kms out of Port Moresby.
Driving to takes approximately an hour. The road leading to Warirata is sealed but curved as you ascend at an altitude of approximately 800 meters above sea level. The panoramic overlooking Sogeri plateau, the city of Port Moresby is stunning. You will notice incredible location for photographing as you stroll within the park.
The park is an absolute birds and nature lovers haven and is home to many speices of bird’s orchids and exotic plants. Spend time at your leisure Exploring different species of birds including the national bird of paradise – Raggiana and return. On the way visit the national park where birds and animals speices kept an ovary paddocks, fences and cages including a few bird of paradise speices. If time permits drive in to Port Moresby Adventist University to see bird speices there and return late evening overnight.
Day 11
Early breakfast and transfer to Port Moresby international airport for ownward international destination.
